The town/suburb I grew up in has some hidden gems.
There is this beautiful old house, I only recently discovered.
It is hidden behind a newer building.
It is from 1689
The details
Beautifully done with carvings and tiles.
Look at those detailed tiles.
I lived there for 23 years and only discovered this now.
Well, at least now I walk around with my eyes open 🙂
Oh it is so moving, beauty that lasts over time, created by an artisan from long ago.
It is beautiful how skilled people were and showed it open on houses for us now to admire.
Ganz genau! Selbst direkt vor der Haustuere 🙂
So beautiful and so lovingly crafted. What a treat to have that in your home town. 🙂
It really is, yes , glad I found it. 🙂
Beautiful! I was imagining the people who would have walked up and down those steps 400 years ago!
Yes coming with horse and cart! the sleigh is still there for Winter. 🙂
Wow !. Just imagine how many of us are not aware of such unique beauty under our own noses !
I agree, walk around in your town with open eyes! 🙂
Absolutely charming, right out of a fairytale! Truly a masterpiece! Imagine living in a house like that! I’m glad you discovered it and shared it with us! 🙂
❤️carmen
Yes I agree, I think it is quite cosy inside. But probably rather expensive to maintain. Thank you Carmen.
Thank you for zooming in on the intricate details — it shows the difference between what a craftsman can accomplish vs. a worker. Do you know if anyone lives there now? We’re you able to get a peak inside?
Yes indeed. There are people living in it, so I didn’t see inside unfortunately! I am sure it is hard to maintain an old house like this as often you are not allowed to change any features.
What a lovely house, Ute, and we agree with Carmen, it looks like a fairytale. Pawsome! 😺Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday🐾😽💞
It does really yes! Thank you Binky!
pass auf, dass du dich nicht erkältest, Klaus
Ich habe immer noch Husten, ich muss aufpassen! danke!
Oh my gosh! I love this house! I also love the idea of imagining all of the different clothing styles that lived in that house. All of the lives lived there, connected for having breathed there, eaten there, slept there. THe dramas and the joys. Lovely!
Just imagine you live there…. and then thinking who walked here etc. Yes with those thoughts even more amazing.
YES!! I love those thoughts!
