Get dressed

Standard

Getting dressed, getting ready for the new day is routine for some

it can be exciting or meditative for others.

Once you choose your clothes

add these:

Try optimism on. It’s one size fits all.

And it’s free. Go on, it’ll look great on you!

A smile is the best makeup that a girl can wear

Sprinkle a little more love onto everything you do.

Let the light within your heart shine throughout the world.

Now you can journey through your day

with efficiency, hope and a sense of humour.

And don’t forget:

You are amazing!

Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone
Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety
Your breath can radiate Love or muddy the room in depression
Your glance can awaken joy
Your words can inspire freedom
Your every act can open hearts and minds

A very healthy and happy new Year 2021

Standard

2020 will go down in history.

with the virus

and for the UK additional with the Brexit news.

It has been a difficult year for everyone,

a year of new challenges,

a year of learning,

a year of many changes.

We will look at life differently,

with changed attitudes of what is important to us.

We need to keep on smiling next year,

we are stronger than ever.

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Philippians 4,13

One day our hugs

will be longer and

more meaningful than ever.

Our positive attitude will help us to go on,

helping and supporting each other.

May you always have a reason to smile.

Stay healthy, stay strong and stay happy.

Thank you, my wonderful friends for all your visits and support

during this year on my blog.

Sending you all my love!

Have a wonderful, amazing

New Year 2021!

May it bring Peace, good Health,

Joy, Happiness, lots of Love and Kindness

to everyone!

Remembering Christmas

My Christmas Memories

When I was a child in Germany

we celebrated Christmas in the evening 24th December.

Dad would get a real tree in the morning and we were allowed to help

decorating it with our handmade decorations

like paperchains, straw stars and lanterns etc.

We made candle holders out of walnut shells.

Then we were sent out the room for a while.

We had to listen for a little bell.

Once we heard the bell we went into the room with anticipation.

The tree was lit (with real candles) presents under or next to the tree.

We did not open presents then.

Mum sat at the piano and played Christmas carols, we sang to it.

Then us children played Christmas carols on the recorder with my mum.

It was a wonderful happy, warm and peaceful feeling.

Then a record was put on with the Christmas story and a choir singing carols,

only then we started to open presents.

Everyone was happy, Dad watching the tree carefully with the candles.

We loved to blow them all out.

After all this Mum served a lovely small dinner with filled Vol-au vents,

and home baked Christmas cookies.

We spent a happy family evening together.

Always a magical Christmas for us, a special time,

and I remember it fondly filled with so much love.

…a day to enjoy travels …

I traveled North to Oslo for a short trip.

The first thing I saw in Oslo was the beautiful flowers everywhere in open spaces.

******

Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful;
they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.
~ Luther Burbank ~

Specially now in Summer

the flowers are the most vibrant!

Enjoy them!

They really do make the Earth laugh!

…international Happiness Day

home made happiness…

How happy is the little Stone
That rambles in the Road alone,
And doesn’t care about Careers
And Exigencies never fears—
Whose Coat of elemental Brown
A passing Universe put on,
And independent as the Sun
Associates or glows alone,
Fulfilling absolute Decree
In casual simplicity—

Emily Dickinson

Wishing you an extraordinary happy day!
