1971 – sorting out in the attic

It was time again to sort a bit in the attic.

I found more fun stuff from 50 years ago from my school life.

My homework Autumn 1971 – you might recognize some ???

The seasons 1971

As you can see I couldn’t draw well, so for some of the homework I asked my mum or my sister to draw for me. – Clearly July and August were done by my substitutes. 🙂

I quite enjoyed school and was a very quiet and obedient pupil.

Happy is the person
who knows what to remember of the past,
what to enjoy in the present,
and what to plan for in the future.

Danny’s day out

Danny, my teddy who went visiting Spain with me last year was rather excited, as he was allowed to come with his mum to school to Teddy Bear’s Picnic. Here is a link to Manny his best friend!

So after a hearty breakfast we went to school.

He met the cook and both helped a bit in the office answering the phone and renaming files on the computer. They were a great team.

Then a visit to the Nursery with already decorated tables….

He had a healthy picnic with lots of children and many more teddies, a thoroughly enjoyable day , he said.

It was  a hot day , so for the rest of the afternoon Danny helped mum again with computer work and checking the printer.

He got home exhausted and rather full up.

He had an exciting day out and he could tell me many things which made him happy today!

Soon holiday start and we have more outings planned! Yay

Our children

School is starting again, our children go back to be educated.

Do remember though:

If we are worried about the future,
then we must look today
at the upbringing of children.

Don’t handicap your children, by making their lives easy.
~ Robert A. Heinlein ~

It’s not our job to toughen our children up
to face a cruel and heartless world.
It’s our job to raise children
who will make the world
a little less cruel and heartless.
L.R. Knost

All children should be taught
to unconditionally accept, approve,
admire, appreciate, forgive, trust
and ultimately, love their own person.

Wishing everyone a good start to the school year

and an amazingly interesting peaceful and joyful year!

I can see so much love and compassion in this world.

I am overwhelmed with it!

I need to share such wonders with you!

As you know my dad passed away in February and my mum is alone since then. She is in a Christian home and well looked after. She is making new friends now. In my school where I work I am well respected and loved. As it is my mum’s birthday soon, and my colleagues know it, one teacher asked the children to make some birthday cards to brighten my mum’s day!

What a wonderful thing to do! ( He had before done it before with Christmas cards made by the children to give to my dad when he was in hospital and not well).

Here are some examples.

The children put so much effort and love into it, it is so encouraging to see that 10 year olds learn about compassison and love.

and some hand made flowers!

Aren’t they wonderful?  I will post this soon to arrive on time for my mum’s birthday , I am sure they will brighten up her day!

I am still speechless about this act of kindness!

Thank you all for being here, you wonderful people!

Much love from Ute

Success again

I really had a wonderful week in happiness with hugs and love.

Cyber friends, real friends and colleagues are wonderful. I already feel a group hug coming on!

Friday – the weekend is starting and I have ended the week with making a potato leek soup… successfully.

First I got my shiny pot out, soupfollowed the recipe from Knowledge Knut and wow I had a fantastic soup for dinner. It was so much I could put 4 portions away in the freezer. Thank you Knut for this lovely recipe. It was rather easy and it came out perfectly. Amazing… almost outstanding…..
