Memories

Standard

Leftovers in their less visible form are called memories.

Stored in the refrigerator of the mind and the cupboard of the heart.

As it is holiday time, sunny weather, time to spend with the family or friends we will make memories.

We all take our cameras with us, take pictures and look at them later, remembering a wonderful time.

We should not just go somewhere take pictures and leave.

No, we should take the view in consciously, enjoy the very moment, then take a picture.

Like that when we look at the picture later, we have more emotions and really remember how it was then.

Therefore, to have great memories we need to walk around with our eyes open and brain working……to keep those amazing images alive in our memory.

Be conscious about what you see, what you feel and what you smell and firstly it makes you feel really alive and you have a whole lot more fantastic memories.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”

Enjoy the world and the moments consciously and you can enjoy life much more!

We make memories every day in our lives, not only on holidays.

So make sure you make and give wonderful memories , not only for yourself but also for others, your children, your parents, your friends.

Have a memorable day!

Memories

We have just been on a short vacation on the Isle of Wight and enjoyed the slower pace there, and of course the beaches. When you are on holidays you have new impressions, beautiful scenery and later, when the holiday is over it is all a memory.

My earliest memory is from a holiday when I was 3 years old and I do have one picture in my head and I can still remember the smell of those bushes/ trees.  I had to ask my parents where that memory was from and they told me it was on a beach in France, where we stayed in a bungalow. This image I will never forget, like it is imprinted in my brain.

Now on the Isle of Wight we went to a small Planetarium and got chatting to the owner. He had this special telescope only to see the sun. As we were so interested he showed us the sun through this telescope. It was awesome, totally red and had solar flares. I found this unbelievable and had to look a couple of times as I have never seen this before in my life. I wanted this to be a special memory and imprinted into my head, so I looked very consciously through the telescope as it was so amazing.  This image of the sun and its’ flares are like a picture saved on a disk in my head now and I can recall it very easily.

Sometimes I walk around taking things in but not really in and I cannot recall it all in detail, and then I wished I had taken it in more carefully.

Therefore, to have great memories we need to walk around with our eyes open and brain working……to keep those amazing images alive in our memory.

Be conscious about what you see, what you feel and what you smell and firstly it makes you feel really alive and you have a whole lot more fantastic memories.
