After a meditation session I attended last year
we were asked to write a letter to ourselves to be opened in a years time.
I just found it:
perfect to start the new year with
here it is:
As it is my birthday today, I had the idea of following RoSy’s idea and jot things down which I love and come to my mind right now.
Well I am not a teenager anymore and it is hard to think of 53 things so I went for 13 things as it is my birthdate.
Here we are!
Here the proof that I have grown up!
I guess I changed a little…….
Please help yourself to some sandwiches and tea and we can celebrate my birthday together!
Because I felt so stressed recently I booked myself a SPA weekend in a hotel about an hour away from my home.
It was a package and started with a revitalising massage on Saturday. It was beautiful and so relaxing with sweet smelling oils and soothing music, I loved it! Then I could use the facilities like the swimming pool, the steam room, Sauna and the gym. There were heated tiled lounging chairs to relax on. I had some meditation sessions in between for relaxing the mind too.
The hotel was beautiful, the staff was amazing, the food was super (included was lunch and dinner and the next morning’s breakfast) and I enjoyed this weekend thoroughly. It was total bliss!
Sometimes we need to treat ourselves and forget about everything.
Habits come very easy but breaking a bad habit is rather hard. We all have our little habits we like to stop and sometimes real willpower is needed to do so.
Which one will you quit this year?
“Meditation is a technique for quieting the mind, shutting down the mind chanter so that we can be still and 100% present with the now”

The present moment is the only moment available to us and it is the door to all moments.

Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.

This is my pet Thomas, a very relaxed and loving cat.
He gives me love, warmth and many purrs to keep me happy.
A pet does wonders!
Often we walk around not seeing the beauty along the road.
Have a look here!
A thank you to my sister for being able to use her Beauty – ful pictures.
Beauty is all around us.
Lie on the grass and observe the birds flying,
listen to the rustling of the leaves in the wind,
see the little bud of a small daisy flower coming out,
follow the bee how it travels through a flower,
watch the flower move in the breeze
enjoy the colourful butterfly circling round in the air.
Watching a flower grow is an amazing treat with timelapse
even what we regard as a weed looks wonderful in nature.
Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future; live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.

Mindfulness is Buddha’s word for meditation. By mindfulness he means: you should always remain alert, watchful. You should always remain present. Not a single thing should be done in a sort of sleepy state of mind…. you should move with a sharp consciousness. – Osho
