Today is …# 26 – a day to travel – Trip to Hohen Urach – Germany

Standard

On  a beautiful sunny day

I visited the Ruins of “Hohen Urach“,

above the town “Bad Urach”.

built as a castle, later used as a prison, then destroyed.

It plays part of the interesting local history.

We used to go up when I was a child.

Recently we revisited the ruins with a picnic up there.

A steep walk through forest, we arrived on this very unspoiled spot.

No shops, no cars, it is beautiful.

See for yourself:

Well worth a visit, take a picnic and

enjoy the scenery and the peace.

Autumn – Winter Photo Challenge

Standard

While I was in Germany, I took some pictures for my own Photo Challenge, called “which season are we in?”

Before I arrived in Germany they had rather heavy snowfall so I captured this on my phone.

Winter and Autumn in one!

And I attach another picture of some typical houses in Germany, these are in the little town where my parents live now.

It is the Market place in Bad Urach/ Germany. This picture was taken in August though and I love those old houses
