As it is Wednesday and I usually post on a Wednesday
I will put my favourite pictures up as it is also my Birthday today.
It is the 13th, so
13 things I love:
make people happy
beauty visible and from the inside
a good cup of tea
and my blogging community for the last 6 years!
Thank you for being here- Big Hugs
For a good start of this wonderful day
have a bowl of Sunshine and Love
and celebrate with me!
Danny travelled again for the weekend.
On the plane with a snack
in the car to the house.
In Stuttgart Airport Danny saw a many bears and talked to some.
He made friends with one, called Struppi.
Struppi then joined us on the flight back to London.
The bears had a lovely flight home and Danny is busy introducing
Struppi to everybody and the English life here.
Our bear family has grown!
here is Thomas again:
I wanted to introduce you to my wonderful friends:
Oups, from the planet of the Heart
and Danny, the travelled Teddy.
They are best friends and usually hang out together.
Oups is very wise, he has a huge heart,
is always positive and features in lots of books.
My mum had many of his books, here is a taster what is in it.
“Loving words and a happy smile warm every heart.”
Danny has travelled quite a bit like Germany and Spain.
That is a lot for a little bear.
Doesn’t he look cool!
Oups likes to sit with me too!
We are both equally soft.
Wishing you a super day
and a big hug from all of us,
Oups, Danny and me, Thomas!
As my mum is out
I jumped on the computer
to show you my favourite places.
From the title you can see it is a box,
yes anything enclosed, I love
additional to my mum’s lap of course.
There are always new places appearing in my house,
boxes and others.
I utilise them all.
I promised my friend Binky to show my relaxing places.
So here we are:
the box on the sofa
the box on the floor
the tiny shoebox
the rocking chair
my mum’s computer desk,
I just swipe things of the desk and get comfortable.
the drawer in my mum’s son’s room
Yes I am allowed
Isn’t it just wonderful how many places I have to relax and snooze!
So now it’s your turn,
find a peaceful spot and have a snooze.
Wishing you all a very relaxing weekend!
I have been given a 1000 piece Jigsaw puzzle to do and to review,
as you know I love doing puzzles.
It arrived on Friday.
I was already excited.
It is called Snowdrop Cottage and it is an original premium Ravensburger Puzzle,
Great German Quality.
It is wonderful to unpack a great quality puzzle
knowing how much I will enjoy doing it.
The joy begins on opening the box… the anticipation….
and I find the pieces, a leaflet, the 2018 catalog and a picture of the puzzle.
The picture – Snowdrop Cottage, perfect for the Winter season is done by artist Howard Robinson.
It is the 11th in a series of English Cottages.
I love the picture.
When I study it more I find the warm cottage, lots of beautiful plants, many birds, different flowers, the well –
all in all a beautiful picture.
I already make my plan in my head how to tackle the puzzle.
Step 1 find all edge pieces
Step 2 sort colours for house and roof
Step 3 go for it and enjoy.
Check out my progress:
The Puzzle was a delight to do. The most satisfying moment is when you put the last piece in. You feel you have achieved something and had fun doing it.
I started on Friday evening, continued on Saturday and finished it off on Sunday afternoon. This 1000 piece puzzle would be a great starter puzzle for someone who has only done 500 pieces, but wants to go bigger. The motive which is the very ‘busy’ and colorful picture of Snowdrop Cottage makes it easy to sort and follow where the pieces go. The soft click technology of the well known Ravensburger Company makes it so satisfying to put piece after piece in and you feel straight away if it fits or not. The different shapes also help solving the puzzle.
The making of the puzzle was fun and relaxing for me.
Puzzles are relaxing and almost like a meditation,
when you can study the picture and enjoy every bit in detail,
no rushing involved,
but take your time and do it calmly.
You can do it together with someone else and have a good and peaceful time.
If you enjoy doing puzzles I certainly recommend this puzzle from Ravensburger
it makes a great present too.
There are plenty more puzzles to choose from if you want a bigger challenge or just more fun.
Looking through the catalog I found my next one already – ‘The afternoon visitor’
Yes I am a proud owner of a Rocking Chair.
In my 20’s I bought myself a bamboo rocking chair
but had to leave it behind when I moved to London.
Now after many years
I saw this rocking chair smiling at me
in a local second hand shop.
We are together now and both happy.
When I told others about my purchase I had different responses,
which surprised me.
One was that it makes marks on the carpet,
the other one was , that only old people have rocking chairs.
Funny what people think….
sitting in the rocking chair
reading a book,
having a cup of hot chocolate nearby,
or just day dreaming,
listening to music,
For me, it is as good as a hammock between 2 palm trees!
A piece of paradise!
What do you think?
Today is my 5 year Blogiversary.
