An inventive selling idea

Standard

We had shortages in supermarkets due to Covid last year as people panic bought – this was world wide.

As you might have heard the UK had problems again with deliveries for food and petrol as due to Brexit there were not enough lorry drivers to deliver goods needed.

Hence we had a petrol shortage. This crises is only in the UK and not related to Covid.

The message that petrol will be short caused of course panic buying, panic filling up with petrol;

The queues were terribly long and caused impossibly many traffic jams.

On my travels, by train of course, I saw this sign in front of a coffee stall.

An inventive selling idea

🙂 We have not lost our humour 🙂

P.S. the situation has improved and there seem to be more petrol again as the Army is now helping out.

My new adventure

Standard

Learn something new they say.

It is never too late to learn something new.

Since I was younger I was always fascinated by the Double Bass.

When I saw it in an orchestra or just in a small Jazz band I wanted to have a try myself on picking.

This dream has finally come true with the help of my sister.

I have a Double Bass on hire for a while at home and I am learning the notes and scales.

Learn something new.
Try something different.
Convince yourself that you have no limits.

Coving nightmare – Don’t give up

Standard

A bit of DIY turned out more complicated than I thought.

I wanted to add coving in my dining room and bought enough for it.

Yes, I have already run out as I cut so many angles the wrong way round. 😦

The long stretches were fine, now round the chimney breast – it is so difficult.

slide the slider to see both images

Inside angles, outside angles – wrong angles….. nothing fits….

Thomas knows what to do!

Following his example,

I chill,

I source some more coving,

think really hard before cutting,

I know I can do it!

Even if you stumble
you are still going forward!

Even with setbacks

we can go on and achieve the impossible.

Don’t give up whatever you do.

Go for it!

Best TV – Guest post

Standard

Hi all,

it is Thomas here.

I hope you are all well and are keeping healthy.

As it is rather cold out there.

I was more often in than out,

keeping myself warm with my new heated cat blanket.

I love love love it.

The best buy my mum has ever bought.

She gets purrs and love from me in return.

The other day we watched TV together

and there was a great nature programme on.

The birds were rather interesting, flying along.

I had to watch closely so they don’t fly out of the TV.

I so love our sessions together,

cuddles, strokes, belly rubs and pleanty of food.

I am a very happy, content and loved cat with little needs.

Humans can learn from that.

Laugh a little

Standard

Shared laughter is the best tonic.

Laughing is essential in life.

Have a laugh today!

What is the longest word in English?

Smiles – there is a mile between each S.

Today is Wednesday, which means  tomorrow is Pre-Friday which means the next day is Friday.

So it’s basically Friday!

A: I have the perfect son.
B: Does he smoke?
A: No, he doesn’t.
B: Does he drink whiskey?
A: No, he doesn’t.
B: Does he ever come home late?
A: No, he doesn’t.
B: I guess you really do have the perfect son. How old is he?
A: He will be six months old next Wednesday.

Have a fun filled day with lots of laughs!

Teddy Bath

Standard

Teddies get dirty too…

so high time to have a bath.

After 23/27 years they show that they were loved.

Thin on the odd fur place, squeezed flat and mended at some places.

They are all happy though as these are signs of so much love.

So a bath together was fun.

floating on water,

playing, trying to dive….

then time to rinse and dry…

Once dry they can’t wait to go back to their loved owner,

for some more loving.

Spread love, the world needs love.
