My Teddy

Standard

Teddy’s are usually one of the first things to give when a baby is born.

I was reminded of my Teddy through Steffi’s blogpost.

My Steiff Teddy called ‘Zotti’ is as old as me.

He had so much love, he had to be mended.

You can see the straw on his left foot. He wears now crocheted slippers.

He used to growl when I pushed his chest in,

he had lots of fur.

Zotti and me

when I was 1 1/2 years old.

Zotti has lost

lots of fur

Yet, he has no grey hair. πŸ™‚

He is always in good spirits and enjoys the younger generation around him.

He is loved by all my stuffed animals and is best friends with

Manny, my travelling bear (a friend of Danny from America)

and STRuppi from the Stuttgarter Airport.

Who knows what they get up to when I am not there.

Bears are for life!

Did or do you have a teddy?

  1. Aww, there is Zotti! What a lovely Teddy, Ute! Love the crocheted slippers.
And Manni and Struppi are just as wonderful. What a great cuddly family.

You are right, Teddys (and other cuddles) are for life!
Us and our cuddly family are waving to you and yours. πŸ§ΈπŸ’—

  2. I do have a teddy – stored away now to be safe (I hope) but very VERY well loved.. I regarded him as my “Pooh Bear” (the Classic version…)

  3. Teddy has really been loved a lot!! He looks cozy in his new slippers. I did not have a teddy bear. But my son Zachary (now 33) had a stuffed Garfield. I think he still has him, somewhere in storage. That old Garfield was pretty sad looking. The printing on the eye ball even wore off, but Zachary never wanted to give him up.

  4. How sweet! My grandaddy got me a monkey when I was little. I named him Neck Monkey because he didn’t have any stuffing in his neck and his head flopped over. I still have him to this day!

    • Thanks for sharing this Michelle, everyone needs a loved stuffed toy like your monkey. I actually also have a monkey called Yoko – also quite loved, he was a bit htin though to cuddle. πŸ™‚

  5. This is such a sweet sweet precious post :)) I loved seeing you with Zotti from way back then! Also how you have cared for him over the years. I am certainly envy him for not having grey hair πŸ˜‰

  6. Hi Ute,
I love your picture with Zotti. Both so adorable! Was that your mom?
I love the crocheted slippers. My mom crotched a whole face for my bear. I will make a point of posting it so you can see and have a laugh. Mine is now called Baby. He has had different names throughout the years and he is only 37 years old ( my mom gave me him when I was 18 years old)
Blessings to you, and how wonderful to have such treasured memories! β™₯β™₯

  7. Aww…Zotti is still so cute. She may be bald on some places, but she still has her full torso. Granny’s puppets only have their plastic heads and the torso is history…MOL…Extra Pawkisses for you and Thomas tooπŸΎπŸ˜½πŸ’ž
