Teddy’s are usually one of the first things to give when a baby is born.
I was reminded of my Teddy through Steffi’s blogpost.
My Steiff Teddy called ‘Zotti’ is as old as me.
He had so much love, he had to be mended.
You can see the straw on his left foot. He wears now crocheted slippers.
He used to growl when I pushed his chest in,
he had lots of fur.
Zotti and me
when I was 1 1/2 years old.
Zotti has lost
lots of fur
through β₯ love β₯
Yet, he has no grey hair. π
β₯β₯β₯
He is always in good spirits and enjoys the younger generation around him.
He is loved by all my stuffed animals and is best friends with
Manny, my travelling bear (a friend of Danny from America)
and STRuppi from the Stuttgarter Airport.
Who knows what they get up to when I am not there.
Bears are for life!
Did or do you have a teddy?
Aww, there is Zotti! What a lovely Teddy, Ute! Love the crocheted slippers.
And Manni and Struppi are just as wonderful. What a great cuddly family.
You are right, Teddys (and other cuddles) are for life!
Us and our cuddly family are waving to you and yours. π§Έπ
Thank you Steffi, my Cuddlies are sending much love back ! β₯β₯β₯

Such a comfort. And never too old to admit how much teddy bears mean to us. π
Did you change your blog theme? Or am I just near/far sighted? Or forgetful?
Very true. I love my teddies. I haven’t changed the theme, it might be just a senior moment????? Perhaps. I have them regularly! π
Senior Moment! For sure. I use that excuse a lot.
I love the photo of you as a little one with the much loved teddy that has spent his whole life with you. I love his crochet slippers too. π
Thank you very much Sally.
Zotti is a sweet as you!!
Aww, thank you!
I do have a teddy – stored away now to be safe (I hope) but very VERY well loved.. I regarded him as my “Pooh Bear” (the Classic version…)
How lovely, yes he is precious, you wnat to keep him safe! Thanks for sharing this here. Teddy to teddy greetings! β₯
Teddy has really been loved a lot!! He looks cozy in his new slippers. I did not have a teddy bear. But my son Zachary (now 33) had a stuffed Garfield. I think he still has him, somewhere in storage. That old Garfield was pretty sad looking. The printing on the eye ball even wore off, but Zachary never wanted to give him up.
Once children really love their teddy it stays through life. My boys both have theirs still too and treasure them.
How sweet! My grandaddy got me a monkey when I was little. I named him Neck Monkey because he didn’t have any stuffing in his neck and his head flopped over. I still have him to this day!
Thanks for sharing this Michelle, everyone needs a loved stuffed toy like your monkey. I actually also have a monkey called Yoko – also quite loved, he was a bit htin though to cuddle. π
This is such a sweet sweet precious post :)) I loved seeing you with Zotti from way back then! Also how you have cared for him over the years. I am certainly envy him for not having grey hair π
Thank you very much, it is lovely to remember things like that, when I see my Zotti, it always gives me warm happy feelings. β₯
You are very welcome π

I adore this Ute. If I had a bear I do not know of it. But there were 8 of us. I’m sure “if” I did it probably didn’t survive the “love” of 8 rowdy children.
I guess that might be true. I had just one sister and she had her own. We were a small family yet adding the stuffed animals we were bigger too. π
My mother still had her Teddy when she died in her 80’s. I don’t have a Teddy but I have a stuffed lamb named Baaabs,
That will be me too, having my Teddy to the end. Love the name for your lamb. Thank you for sharing your story.
Oh yes, my first Teddy was big und yellow. I loved him and he is still in my mothers house. Some years ago I wrote a story about him in my blog. Maybe you want to read (https://lifetellsstories.de/jetzt-faengt-mein-neues-leben-an/).
Astrid
Thank you Astrid for sharing this here, I shall have a read over at yours!
I Love the slippers!! Too Cute
Thanks Sandy!
Hi Ute,
I love your picture with Zotti. Both so adorable! Was that your mom?
I love the crocheted slippers. My mom crotched a whole face for my bear. I will make a point of posting it so you can see and have a laugh. Mine is now called Baby. He has had different names throughout the years and he is only 37 years old ( my mom gave me him when I was 18 years old)
Blessings to you, and how wonderful to have such treasured memories! β₯β₯
Thank you Ana, yes that was my mum, I still remember that dress she had on this picture. She wore it often later. π I love my memories and I do treasure them. β₯
oh, that is so cool and sweet that you still remember that dress β₯β₯β₯
Aww…Zotti is still so cute. She may be bald on some places, but she still has her full torso. Granny’s puppets only have their plastic heads and the torso is history…MOL…Extra Pawkisses for you and Thomas tooπΎπ½π
Oh yes, Zotti is happy to be still so much alive! β₯
