As the seasons change – Kew Garden does too. We went to the Japanese Festival in Kew.

God's beauty never ends. We just need to take time to open our eyes to see it, to feel it and to experience all it can be. Laura D Field
In the Temperate house we saw Art work
‘A thousand Springs’ from Chiharu Shiota.
5000 Haikus – in Japanese – referencing nature – suspended on red threads
while listening to beautiful music by a Japanese composer.

The Chalk Garden was a mixture of chalky English limestone and beautiful Japanese planting.
We saw colours with Bonsai Trees

I’ll leave you with a Japanese proverb
One who smiles rather than rages is always stronger.
Wishing everyone a great weekend !
Wow, that was beautiful!!
It was indeed!
I love the haiku art work. Is there anywhere where they are written in a readable fashion too? I would want to be reading them all! 🙂
They were written in Japanese, so even closeup we couldn’t read them. It looked more the part like that really than writing it in English. It looked really good close up.
Of course! Would have been lovely to have translations but the installation is beautiful whether one can read it or not. 🙂
Yes, 🙂
Beautiful! Happy friday! 🙂
Thank you, happy weekend to you ♥
Gorgeous! Have a nice weekend too 🙂
Thank you very much, enjoy the day!
Beautiful! Love the Haikus suspended with the red thread, and the thought of seeing it while listening to beautiful music sounds like a perfect Sunday afternoon. Love the quotes, too!
It was rather magical to be honest. Thank you, enjoy your weekend!
Ute, I think I could sit/stand in any of these art pieces and be content. Thank you for sharing.
I am sure you would love it, sitting there seeing the world go by taking it all in. It is a magical athmosphere.
Makes me sigh through your pictures.
🙂 You are always with me when I visit Kew. ♥
You are THE best! 🙂
