Kew Gardens 15th Smile

This time in Kew Gardens I admired the flowers and learnt some Photography tips from my Photographer friend I went with.

I learnt to focus on the flower with a blurry background. This was even possible with my Mobile phone camera and I was so happy that this worked well.

Please click on the individual picture to enlarge it. I’m proud how the pictures came out.

This little fellow fell on my trousers while we had lunch under an Oak tree.

He was not even 1 cm long.

We passed a fascinating tree, a Maritime Pine which did not grow straight. The bark was smoother on one side and really rugged on the other.

Maritime Pine not growing straight, and view up

We stayed so long we nearly needed a lantern home….

  1. Just one downside, I wish I could visit Kew again! When we lived in London it was one of our favourite places. However, what a lovely post to start my day 😊 thank you! Your pictures are amazing 💐🙋‍♂️

  2. What a wonderful place and you get to visit so often! Even better when you can share the experience with a sweet friend! Fabulous photos, the out-of-focus background really makes the flowers pop! How do you do the tree photos so that you can have two photos side by side with a slide option? Great quote from Proverbs! 🙂

    • Thank you so much Carmen, Kew is my extended garden 🙂 i am so happy that I could do those photos with my mobile phonecamera. I discovered the slide option under the image block and it is called image compare , like a before and after as well. I like that option. And you my dear friend Carmen refresh my soul too ♥♥♥

  3. Your photos are fabulous. I love it when serendipity gives me a clear flower with a blurry background. I’d love to be able to do it on purpose as you have here. Love the little creature too, lovely detail. 🙂

    • Thank you so much Sally, I loved that little creature as he had so many different things on his body. Very fancy, I wonder if he becomes a Butterfly or if he is just a creature like that!

Love to hear from you......
