Paris – a quick trip

For the first time I went to Paris via the Eurostar – train.

What a wonderful way to travel.

It was easy, quick and very calm.

I loved it. Perfect for a quick break.

It went so impressively fast, we were in Paris from London in 2 and a quarter hours.

Once there,

We took it slowly and having been in Paris before

we just enjoyed the atmosphere and

some of the landmarks of Paris.

My favourite picture at the Tour Eiffel with Autumn colours:

Some more impressions

I will certainly explore more cities with the Eurostar, such a great and easy way to travel.

Have a great week!

  1. Oh so beautiful! I remember taking the boat train from London to Paris as a kid, and then I took what I call the chunnel, soon after it was built. What a difference a tunnel makes! Happy Advent my friend

  2. WOW!! I love your photos, especially the Eiffel Tower! I have pictures and images of the Eiffel Tower in every room and hope to take my own photo someday. If I could get to Paris in 2 and 1/4 hours I’d be going every weekend! 🙂

    I ❤️ Paris!

    • I know you do, for you it needs to be the super sonic jet to get over to Paris. It is a wonderful city and has its’ French charm. I loved that French Onion soup in a typical Bistro. Oh the French know how to live. 🙂

  3. Hello.

Very nice post! Paris is one of my favorite cities. I envy you having travelled so fast in the train. My “record” is only 242 km/h when driving our car on German “Autobahnen”. : ) That you.

    Have a good day!

  4. WOW! What a fast trip, Ute…MOL…and such great pictures you made! Granny was once in Paris for a day and the only thing she saw was Paris under the ground, because nobody understood anything else then French, and she doesn’t speak eough French to make herself understandable, neither did her furriends…MOL…Almost at the end of the day, when they had to go back, they saw the Eiffel tower and the Moulin Rouge…nothing else🙀😺Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

    • They do now speak English quite well, however I tried my French which is very rusty. It will come back using it again though, I am sure. Granny needs to go again. I like to use the Eurostar to Brussels and probably Amsterdam too. (Are you far away from Amsterdam)

      • Granny doesn’t even try it anymore. She says ‘bonjour’ when she leaves a shop, so embarrissing that she gave up on it…MOL 😀 We’re living now on the other side of the Netherlands, Ute, in South Limburg, that’s about a three hours drive by car from Amsterdam. Extra Pawkiss🐾😽💞

      • Quite far from Amsterdam… closer to Germany really, I see. Never mind. I do like French , I did it as my School leaving exam… it goes back a long time. I used to be rubbish in English though, and I ended up living here in London. You never know 🙂

Love to hear from you......
