Oslo Impressions – Part 3

Standard

The city of Oslo has modern Opera house.

You can walk up and are rewarded with a beautiful view.

They are building a new Library at the right side of the picture.

You can see glass art from Monika Bonvicini called ‘She Lies‘.

It is a permanent installation, floating on the water in the fjord on a concrete platform, rising 12 metres (39 ft) above the water surface.

The sculpture turns on its axis in line with the tide and wind, offering changing experiences through reflections from the water and its transparent surfaces.

  1. Hello Ute.

Everything seems so clean and gorgeous. We have never visited there, but only in the middle of Norway and in the north in two places by car. Thank for this lovely post.

    Have a good day!
