The city of Oslo has modern Opera house.
You can walk up and are rewarded with a beautiful view.
They are building a new Library at the right side of the picture.
You can see glass art from Monika Bonvicini called ‘She Lies‘.
It is a permanent installation, floating on the water in the fjord on a concrete platform, rising 12 metres (39 ft) above the water surface.
The sculpture turns on its axis in line with the tide and wind, offering changing experiences through reflections from the water and its transparent surfaces.
Such a beautiful building and the sculpture looks wonderful, too.
It does, so modern and so different but beautiful. The toilets in there were rather futuristic too.
I am intrigued. And also glad that thought is given to the toilet facilities.
Hehe, yes , I think it was the lighting which was very indirect behind the mirrors longways which made it look rather modern, also the clean hidden look. You know, sometimes nowadays there are so many hidden buttons, you don’t know where to press to get what working. (I figured out the airports now) 🙂
🙂 🙂 🙂 The different facilities at different airports are quite a challenge sometimes.
I know….luckily there is always someone who knows… or we can observe! 🙂
True!
ja, das ist echt toll geworden, viel Spaß beim Relaxen, Klaus
Danke Klaus!
Beautiful. I hope they don’t have to clean it with paper towels and widow cleaner – big job! 🙂 Hugs from Kim and Steffi in Hamburg, Germany!
Haha, yes cleaning will be a hard job, I assume 🙂
Beautiful! (ANd I love that libraries are still being built!)
Yes me too, it will be a state of the Art Library as they say. They have so many wonderful museums and culture and education is very high there!
That is a gift to the community !
Yes indeed! Norway has famous poets and writers too!
I love poets and writers 🙂
