When I was at Kew Gardens last time
I was fascinated by the fern growing.
The way it unrolls itself, looking like an ammonite first…
each stem …..
unrolls ……
then each little side branch unrolls separately
with more leaves unrolling.
Everything unrolls slowly to perfection,
all in good time.
Nature is fascinating.
Adopt the pace of nature.
Her secret is patience.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
all pictures taken by me at Kew Gardens.
Gorgeous – a true metaphor for life. Emerson was spot on as always.
Oh yes , he was!
I do remember that the Mimosa (I think a type of fern) closes when touched 🙂 ❤

.
Yes that is true, this one is not a mimosa though! Interesting plants!
Beautiful
Thank you !
liebe Ute, das ist echt super schön, erhole dich, genieße es, sammle die nötige Kraft für die nächsten Tage
Will do Klaus ! Ebenfalls!
They look like little snails and a little mysterious as well, Ute, it’s fascinating to see them sprout out 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy St. Patrick’s Day🐾😽💚
They do really. Thank you Binky, need to do your puzzle now!
I love the way Ferns uncurl too. I shall have to go out and look at ours. 🙂
Yes, I like to have one for my garden , but can’t find it here….. I guess I need to go to a garden centre!
ich wünsche mir für uns, dass sich der Frühling von seiner besseren Seite zeigt
Das wuensche ich auch! Es gab Hagel gestern!
Oh, I love fern for that and many more reasons!
Thank you for those facinating and beautiful impressions and the perfectly chosen wise quote from Mr. Emmerson! 🌿
Thank you so much! Glad you like it ♥
Lovely photos! Nature is God’s art, I’m always amazed at His creations!! We have ferns growing at the side of our house in the summer. It was lovely to see ferns growing in January in Seattle. Ours die in the fall but I’m glad that it won’t be long now. 🙂
❤️carmen
It is warming up here Carmen, it is good, Spring is showing up , yay!
Beautful! I love ferns and some non-drought years have a fern garden with my tiny redwood grove.
I can imagine it is hard to grow them where you are when there is not much water. Thank you Russ.
It’s like it is stretching.
Like when you unroll out of bed in the mornings…. 🙂 hehe
Pretty much 🙂
Wonderful post and very beautiful photos. Thank You.
Have a good day!
Thank you very much! Enjoy you day!
