Beautiful Rain

Standard

It is recently sunny and we all love sunshine.

However rain can be beautiful too.

It makes everything fresh,

gives life

and rain drops look amazing

hanging on plant leaves.

Sunshine is delicious,

rain is refreshing,

wind braces us up,

snow is exhilarating:

there is really no such thing as bad weather,

only different kinds of good weather.

John Ruskin

  1. What a gorgeous picture, Ute – like a bouquet of shimmering jewels! By the way, it looks like I might be visiting Kew in May and it would be great to meet up if diaries allow. If you could e-mail me at leapinglife@btinternet.com we could perhaps see if we can make something work?

  2. Lovely photo Ute, but I’ll have to disagree with John Ruskin about all weather being good. 😉 While I do love rain (it’s a blessing and refreshing) I don’t think tornados and hurricanes and blizzards are “good weather” But that’s just my opinion (and the opinion of thousands of people who have had their homes destroyed by “good weather” or have frozen to death in our subzero temperatures). I’d rather have nice sunny days and rain when necessary, thank you! 🙂

    • Carmen, you are right, extreme weather is not good weather. I think he didn’t think of that, as many people do complain just about a bit of rain. Thank you for your input. Much appreciated.

      • Exactly, John lived in England and I doubt he ever experienced anything like the harsh Canadian winters. I lived in Scotland and the weather was much milder: the wind was nothing like the winds we get, a few snow flurries that would melt the next day, but never a snow storm and mountains of snow like in Ontario.

I do agree that some people complain too much about the rain. I prefer rain to snow storms any day! 🙂

      • I do too! We had ,for London, heavy storms, and it was hard to fight the way to church this morning…. nothing compared to the storms in the US though.

Love to hear from you......
