A cold day in Kew Gardens and so many things to see:
The Temperate house is home to an internationally important collection of temperate zone plants, including some of the rarest and most threatened.
It is the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world.
As a Listed Grade 1 building, it has been restored to its new glory and re opened in May 2018.
Walk with me and enjoy the rare and beautiful plants.
Click on the individual picture to enlarge.
Each plant showing off its beauty in different ways.
There is a spiral staircase to walk up along the Gallery.
The view is fantastic, and the sun was shining.
On my way out I passed the gift shop and found some lovely Bamboo socks.
I couldn’t resist.
I’ll be back at Kew very soon!

Was für ein schöner Spaziergang mit all den Pflanzen. Die Socken würden mir auch gefallen 🙂
Es war herrlich, ich geniesse oft einen Spaziergang alleine dorthin, dann kann ich es sehr gemuetlich machen. Danke!

Oh it looks wonderful! This place is on my list of places to visit when I’m in London again – sadly, I didn’t manage to squeeze it into my tight schedule last time. 😦
Oh yes it is a must really! It is well worth a visit!
Still planning to visit one day in person. In the meantime, I love joining your adventures via blogging. Thank you!

Amazingly Beautiful!! Thanks for such excellent pictures!
Thank you very much. I love it so much!
I do remember visiting Kew many, many years ago and I am sure that the temperate house was chock a block to the ceiling with plants, but that was ages ago. Another thing I remember, I think there was quite a long walk from the tube to the gardens. A lovely place to visit, isn’t it Ute ? 🙂 ❤
Funny, I remember it as a long walk to the station, but it is not. About 5 minutes, really easy to find. You are probably thinking of the palm house which is chock a block with growing palm from every where. It is the more rounded glass house and the famous icon of Kew. I love it in there as it is always so warm inside!
So beautiful flowers and what a nice place. The stairs are pawsome! Extra Pawkiss for you and Thomas🐾😙😻
Thank you , I love it there!
Amazing photographs! Showing off the Temperate House in all its glory. Tempting me to go again soon. Thank you for sharing and lifting spirits. xxx
Thank you Birgit for your lovely comment. Your compliment about the photos means a lot to me. ♥
