Danny’s Summer Travels

Standard

I, Danny was fortunate enough to accompany my mum and family travelling to Bavaria.

First I found great bushes to climb in my auntie’s garden

while my mum tried to shoot dinner (at a Middle Age Market in Schongau)

….. we did have salad that night…. 🙂

We enjoyed driving along the Kochelsee in beautiful sunshine,

then up a mountain

and down again to the Walchensee.

There we went with a cable car to the Herzogstand and enjoyed the hot weather in 1600m height.

It was so wonderfully warm, the view was breathtaking from the top seeing so many more mountains of the Alpes.

I was allowed to sit right by the window in the cable car so I could see better going down.

It was an amazing experience for a bear. ( just a bit hot with my fur)

I am so grateful to see so many beautiful mountains, lakes and winding roads in hot sunshine.

On our way home we stopped at a really little lake/pond with a duck family which was brilliant to cool down after a hot day.

( this little one was the slowest…. so was my mum with taking the picture…)

A great day out for all of us!

Simply Red

Standard

The way you start your day
can affect your whole day…
Begin it with a smile
calmness of mind
coolness of emotions
and a heart filled with gratitude.

Take time to smell the flowers
Take time to hug a tree
Take time to hear each bird sing
Take time to simply be.

We might miss some of the beauty on life

if we don’t slow down

and pay attention to the little things around us.

Start your day with the beauty of red today!

Different shapes,

different shades,

all unique,

all beautiful!

Just like you!

My new bicycle

Standard

As I love riding a bicycle, I found a new one I really liked.

More like a Dutch style bicycle.

This is a big frame, big wheels and it is very comfortable, to get on too.

(more like the bike I had which was stolen 3 years ago.)

After that I bought a folding bike to keep at home.

Now I have a place in a bike hanger, close to my house, so I could get myself a bigger bike again.

The folding bike found a loving new home too.

Direct from the dealer I rode it home on the scenic route along the river.

It was a lovely day and perfect for a ride, just glorious.

It is called ‘cafe’ – I like that 🙂

I bought myself a basket for the front too for little shopping.

Now I can go to many more rides and enjoy the sunshine and outdoors.

Do you ride a bicycle ? and enjoy it ?

Enjoy the little beauties along the road, walking or cycling,

nature calls, go for it!

Memories

Standard

Leftovers in their less visible form are called memories.

Stored in the refrigerator of the mind and the cupboard of the heart.

As it is holiday time, sunny weather, time to spend with the family or friends we will make memories.

We all take our cameras with us, take pictures and look at them later, remembering a wonderful time.

We should not just go somewhere take pictures and leave.

No, we should take the view in consciously, enjoy the very moment, then take a picture.

Like that when we look at the picture later, we have more emotions and really remember how it was then.

Therefore, to have great memories we need to walk around with our eyes open and brain working……to keep those amazing images alive in our memory.

Be conscious about what you see, what you feel and what you smell and firstly it makes you feel really alive and you have a whole lot more fantastic memories.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away”

Enjoy the world and the moments consciously and you can enjoy life much more!

We make memories every day in our lives, not only on holidays.

So make sure you make and give wonderful memories , not only for yourself but also for others, your children, your parents, your friends.

Have a memorable day!

Holiday Time

Standard

Finally August and for most it is holiday time.

For me it also means time do to things around the house.

Here an update:

My wooden kitchen worktop needed a little tender loving care.

So I started to sand it down.

Now nice and smooth, I can varnish it.

Another day I made bracelets. .

I love making jewellery, make presents or sell some at markets occasionally.

I made all these with different seed beads.

I have in my garden an ‘elephant ear’ plant, it grows amazingly big.

As you know I love my plants and flowers.

Therefore I became a ‘friend of Kew Gardens’.

Kew Gardens is a wonderful huge botanical garden offering unique landscapes and iconic architecture from every stage of the Garden’s history.

It has a collection of living plants which is the largest and most diverse in the world growing in the gardens and in glass houses.

It is in West London and I can go by train.

I can’t wait to go, out for a day lost in the gardens……

There will be updates on this with more pictures of the gardens.

Wishing all a wonderful Summer 2018!
