Feeling low – Here are some helpful pick ups

Standard

It is not easy to be always on top of the world.

If you are feeling down at the moment,

here are some quotes to help and a cup of positivitea.

Everyday is a new day- a day for new beginnings.

You can only deal with one day at a time.

Don’t stress too much about tomorrow.

Easy does it.

No matter how hard the past,

you can always begin again. – Buddha

Don’t worry about the entire future.

It can only come one day at a time.

Do what you can

with what you have

where you are.

Think of a precious privilege

it is to be alive-

to breathe, to think,. to enjoy

and to love.

Marcus Aurelius

Wishing you a better day and sending you comforting hugs!

Punting

Standard

A day out works wonders – like a mini holiday.

You come back refreshed and relaxed.

I tried it for you to give you experienced advice.

We went for one day and night to Cambridge, the famous University town.

Cambridge is a city on the River Cam in eastern England, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating to 1209. University colleges include King’s, famed for its choir and towering Gothic chapel, as well as Trinity, founded by Henry VIII, and St John’s, with its 16th-century Great Gate. University museums have exhibits on archaeology and anthropology, polar exploration, the history of science and zoology.

Walking along the river Cam are many bridges- hence the name Cambridge.

We came along punters and we signed up for some punting.

What an amazing experience, what fun!

The Sky was blue,

the weather was hot,

a real mini holiday!

My advice:

Go for a mini holiday,

do something different at the spur of the moment,

enjoy every moment

and have fun.

You feel refreshed, relaxed,

ready for the new week!

Corpus Christi – Fronleichnam

Standard

There is a religious catholic holiday in Germany called Fronleichnam

In English it is called Corpus Christi.

I was fortunate to witness it on Thursday, while I visited my mum.

Custom is that people make flower carpets where the procession walks along.

They are made out of leaves, flowers and petals of different colours.

I saw the fresh carpets in the morning, and they were so beautiful.

We saw the procession coming from the church.

The priest read from the bible and then they

continued to the town center.

It was lovely to watch in beautiful sunshine.
