Guest post: Cat in the Box

As my mum is out

I jumped on the computer

to show you my favourite places.

From the title you can see it is a box,

yes anything enclosed, I love

additional to my mum’s lap of course.

There are always new places appearing in my house,

boxes and others.

I utilise them all.

I promised my friend Binky to show my relaxing places.

So here we are:

the box on the sofa

the tiny shoebox

the rocking chair

 

my mum’s computer desk,

I just swipe things of the desk and get comfortable.

 

the drawer in my mum’s son’s room

Yes I am allowed

 

Isn’t it just wonderful how many places I have to relax and snooze!

So now it’s your turn,

find a peaceful spot and have a snooze.

A new Smile

has found its’ way to my home.

Is it Winter or Spring?

The weather is so confusing these days.

Just now it was snowing and it felt like -2 degrees

and on my walk I find this pretty thing braving the cold .

Tomorrow it is supposed to be +11 degrees.

 

 

The bulbs think it is Spring as they come already.

 

 

We take it as it comes and

let the sun shine from our heart!

Change

Like clouds in the sky 

everything is in a constant

process of change.

 

 

I filled this empty beautiful jar with lights,

and it looks delightful in the evening.

Jigsaw Puzzle Review – Snowdrop Cottage

I have been given a 1000 piece Jigsaw puzzle to do and to review,

as you know I love doing puzzles.

It arrived on Friday.

I was already excited.

It is called Snowdrop Cottage and it is an original premium Ravensburger Puzzle,

Great German Quality.

It is wonderful to unpack a great quality puzzle

knowing how much I will enjoy doing it.

The joy begins on opening the box… the anticipation….

and I find the pieces, a leaflet, the 2018 catalog and a picture of the puzzle.

The picture – Snowdrop Cottage, perfect for the Winter season is  done by artist Howard Robinson.

It is the 11th in a series of English Cottages.

I love the picture.

When I study it more I find the warm cottage, lots of beautiful plants, many birds, different flowers, the well –

all in all a beautiful picture.

I already make my plan in my head how to tackle the puzzle.

Step 1 find all edge pieces

Step 2 sort colours  for house and roof

Step 3 go for it and enjoy.

The Puzzle was a delight to do. The most satisfying moment is when you put the last piece in. You feel you have achieved something and had fun doing it.

I started on Friday evening, continued on Saturday and finished it off on Sunday afternoon.  This 1000 piece puzzle would be a great starter puzzle for someone who has only done 500 pieces, but wants to go bigger.  The motive which is the very ‘busy’ and colorful picture of Snowdrop Cottage makes it easy to sort and follow where the pieces go. The soft click technology of the well known Ravensburger Company makes it so satisfying to put piece after piece in and you feel straight away if it fits or not. The different shapes also help solving the puzzle.

The making of the puzzle was fun and relaxing for me.

Puzzles are relaxing and almost like a meditation,

when you can study the picture and enjoy every bit in detail,

no rushing involved,

but take your time and do it calmly.

You can do it together with someone else and have a good and peaceful time.

If you enjoy doing puzzles I certainly recommend this puzzle from Ravensburger

and

it makes a great present too.

There are plenty more puzzles to choose from if you want a bigger challenge or just more fun.

Find the wonders of nature

In this dark and grey January

it is still possible to find

wonders of nature.

Encourage yourself to notice them.

Greet the sunshine and  birdsong in the morning,

look at the cloud formation,

see some blooms, cheering up the world.

Nature is a healer in many ways.

Always look with fresh eyes,

bringing wonders to your surroundings.

As a new year comes we examine the quality of our lives.

We are not always having an audience.

Does it matter…

Don’t save the pretty China for extra visitors.

Put the nice dress on,

make an extra effort to set the table,

take extra 5 minutes to fix the hair,

we are the leading role in our lives.

We are not expected to perform every minute of our lives but

it gives us the power, excitement and glory of Real Life.

Question to bloggers

I have a question to all bloggers out there please.

My blog is over 5 years old and is slowly running out of space. ( free theme)

What can I do to add space? ( not buying additional space though)

Do I need to delete posts, which I don’t really like.

Do I need to start a new one and start all over again?

I have exported the whole lot and got it on my downloads. – for info

Any ideas are appreciated bearing in mind that I am not that computer savvy.
