Today is Mindfulness Day !

Wishing you a great Mindfulness Day!

Mindfulness is the energy of awareness. It’s being conscious of the existing moment. Of living life deeply throughout each day and being fully alive, right here, right now. It is connecting with what we do and also with what and who is around us.

Jon Kabat-Zinn puts it a bit better
‘Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment and non judgmentally’

The most precious gift, we can offer others is our presence.

When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.

Thich Nhat Hanh

Have an awesome, mindful day!

  4. “Unconditional acceptance”… Of persons or of ideas? Although I cannot unconditionally ‘accept’ ideas, i.e. validating them as truth, it is my desire to unconditionally accept and love the person. Sometimes people feel that rejecting their idea or belief means rejecting them, and while it may feel that way at times, that is not necessarily the case.

I do like the quote by Jon Kabat-Zinn, keeping in mind, too, that we all make judgments and form opinions, but we should avoid making negative judgments which render a condemning verdict and mindfully pay attention, on purpose, in the present, looking for the positive. πŸ™‚

  5. Love the topic Ute, and the practice of being present in the here and now. This is a timely post, as I will be running workshops at a Mindfulness Center opening in Scottsdale, AZ in the coming months. Always great to read your uplifting posts! πŸ™‚

  6. Wouldn’t be wonderful if we had the possibility to live as we learn – live like every day was the last – wouldn’t we all like to dance, laugh … embrace – but our everyday is mostly in the way. Great post.

Love to hear from you......
