Michelle’s weekly pet challenge Week 34

I hope I am in time for Michelle’s challenge.

We have in our school some eggs to show children how chicks come alive.

Adults and children are excited

3 hatched last night and 2 today.

They are so sweet and I tried to capture them.

These 3 hatched last night:

This one just hatched today and you can see another egg started to open.

Children and adults love those cute chicks!

Next week we are allowed to take them out and cuddle them gently!

This is my contribution for Michelle’s weekly pet challenge

Might be some more pictures next week…….

The ABC of Genuine Happiness

T – Take powernaps. Talk wisely

t7Power naps

When to power nap?

Most scientific research on restorative nap indicates that the best time for a short doze is at midday. Some people take it before lunch but most will wait until right after lunch, at this time digestion compounds with time of the day. This is a point in your circadian cycle (your body natural sleep regulation rythm) where you already have a natural tendency to fall asleep. Don’t delay your nap, napping after 4 or 6pm might degrade your night sleep or reduce your sleep quality.

How long?

For most people a 20 minute power nap is optimal, some might prefer adding a 5 to 10 minute buffer to allow extra relaxation time before the actual nap. This is probably useful if you feel stress or difficulties to let go. It is up to you to fine tune your nap environment in order for you to find the perfect restorative sleep.

Love the pillow!

Talk wisely

Be impeccable with your word.

Speak with integrity.

Say only what you mean.

Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.

Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

The heart of a fool is in his mouth, but the mouth of  a wise man is in his heart.

Benjamin Franklin

The ABC of Genuine Happiness

S – Smile. Sleep. Simplicity

Oh I love smiling….

and could talk all day about it but here some of my favourites smile quotes:

Smile – It’s the second best you can do with your lips.

Smiling is my favourite exercise.

A smile is something you can’t give away; it always comes back to you.

It takes a lot of work from the face to let out a smile, but just think what good smiling can bring to the most important muscle of the body… the heart.

A smile is an inexpensive way to change your looks.  Charles Gordy

Everyone smiles in the same language.

People seldom notice old clothes if you wear a big smile.  Lee Mildon

Wear a smile – one size fits all.

You’re never fully dressed without a smile.  Martin Charnin

A smile can brighten the darkest day.

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. Mother Teresa

“Life gets better when you SIMPLIFY !!!!!!! Remove the clutter, excess, unnecessary and everything that does not serve you well; and you will feel better. Things were meant to serve us, but these days it seems more that we serve things.

How about de-cluttering your mind?

Get rid of negative, unpleasant thoughts; make room for positive, cheerful thoughts.

Get rid of unwanted memories; make room for new memories.

Get rid of destructive, angry thoughts; make room for loving, happy thoughts.

It’ll feel as good within yourself as tidying your closet.

Wishing you  a surprising and super day!

I have had busy weeks and even in my  holiday I have been busy so I haven’t been reading blogs as much lately.

I had my God – Daughter staying with me and I showed her around London.  We had a great time together and so much fun, saw many places, went to the Theatre, visited Mme Tussauds, shopped in Harrods (not really)  and walked miles to see the typical London sites.  She liked it very much and wants to come again, I am very happy!

In Madame Tussauds I met some great people:

I had breakfast at Tiffany’s with Audrey Hepburn

Had a drink with Jean Connery

Some fun with the Beatles

Enjoyed meeting The Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela

……. and had a date with George Clooney…. woohoo!!!

Finally I got an Oskar……..

Wow it was fun mixing with the famous but exhausting too. Glad to be back at home on my sofa just dreaming about George….  🙂

So here are my 5 minutes of fame:

This is me, aged 25 being Liza Minelli in the opening number from “Cabaret”.

This was our Christmas Party in the Holiday Inn where I worked for 2 years.

I guess it was the start of my dancing passion….  🙂

I so love London and if you ever come to London I am more than happy to show you around!

Wishing all a wonderful new week,

enjoy the beautiful moments,

spread love and don’t forget to smile!
