Dancing

Standard

I am so happy and I need to share my happiness!

As you all know I love dancing and I do take tap dance lessons.

tap1No not this one…….

But…. with these……

tap4

Our next venture is exam time again for Gold bar 2 this time.

Did I really make it that far, I ask myself.

The best thing is…..

we do 3 dances for the exam and we have learnt 2 of them so far….

a Tango

and

wait for it…

a Charleston.

tap

The 3rd one…. I don’t know, and I don’t mind as I am so in love with the first 2.

Every time we have an exam I think it can’t get better and every time it does get better.

I love the steps and I love the music.

Our teacher is the best.

He is so much fun, is patient, is funny and believes in us!

Here are my two tap heroes: (apart from my teacher)

Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, my two tap heroes

Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly, my two tap heroes

I love it and I will practice as much as possible!

  1. WOW!!!!

Vielen Dank fuer deine lieben Worte !

  2. Best post ever!!! I am so happy for you, Ute!!! I know how happy dance can make a soul!!!! You are infectious with you spirit ((((looks for my ballet shoes))))). Please post videos!!!!! Pretty pleeeeease!!! 🙂

  3. Love Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly and it was so much fun to listen to Mantovani again. By the time I got to the end of your post I thought my two left feet might be ready to dance too. Your enthusiasm is contagious.

  4. Wow, that’s great Ute! Good luck for the exam! (Not that I think you would need any…)

I danced standard & latin during my youth (until “gold star”, that’s at least the German name…), did some tap dance, later (which I am missing a lot!!) and explored salsa for a bit. I am still hoping to find a way to continue with one of them and still have my dancing shoes. So I understand your joy and am sharing it whole heartedly!

Much love and “thumbs up” from Hamburg!

    • Great to know you danced too. You really should pick up one at least, it is so wonderful and well worth it. I did ballroom to Bronze only as teenager. I bet you are really good! Thanks for letting me know, nice to know another dancer!

  5. What a lovely post Ute. I think it’s your best personal one. I am sure you will fly through your exam. Is it multi-choice questions ? 😉 Ralph xox 😀

  6. This is excellent. I am so glad that you are doing something that you really love doing. I’m sure you will easily dance your way through the Gold Bar 2 🙂

  7. I love the Charleston as well Ute. Much more than the Tango for sure and Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly are my dance heroes as well. Have fun hon and enjoy. 😀 *big hugs*

    • Oh great, they are just fantastic to watch dancing, aren’t they? Charleston is my favourite, so nice to know you love it too! Thanks for telling me, makes me happy! 🙂

  8. What a cheerful blog to start off my day – I love the music and dance from the 30’s and 40’s … I would love to learn to dance – it looks like so much fun!
