I am so happy and I need to share my happiness!
As you all know I love dancing and I do take tap dance lessons.
But…. with these……
Our next venture is exam time again for Gold bar 2 this time.
Did I really make it that far, I ask myself.
The best thing is…..
we do 3 dances for the exam and we have learnt 2 of them so far….
a Tango
and
wait for it…
a Charleston.
The 3rd one…. I don’t know, and I don’t mind as I am so in love with the first 2.
Every time we have an exam I think it can’t get better and every time it does get better.
I love the steps and I love the music.
Our teacher is the best.
He is so much fun, is patient, is funny and believes in us!

Here are my two tap heroes: (apart from my teacher)
I love it and I will practice as much as possible!
I love everything about this post!
Wonderful, me too! Have a swirl!
I’m excited just reading your post, Ute. It is contagious. I’m delighted that you have found something that brings you such joy!
Russ
I so love it Russ! 🙂
give me a little peak at your dancing!!!!!
Will think about it!
I have as much business on the dance floor as being captain of the Enterprise.
Haha, Kirk beats me too, but i love dancing!
Dancing equals joy!
Absolutely, so much fun!
I love this post… now get someone to video your exams and post the clips on the site so we can see how well you do…
Oh dear…. it is hard enough in front of the examiner… 🙂 Might try, and you need to give me good points….
If you do it I’ll judge you 10/10 for the dance, 10/10 for courage…
I like that… you are wonderful! I ‘ll have you as my examiner. 🙂 I might go and do that video…
WOW!!!!
Vielen Dank fuer deine lieben Worte !
Best post ever!!! I am so happy for you, Ute!!! I know how happy dance can make a soul!!!! You are infectious with you spirit ((((looks for my ballet shoes))))). Please post videos!!!!! Pretty pleeeeease!!! 🙂
Haha , so many want a video… I really need to think about that one! 🙂
Your enthusiasm for your subject is contagious. 🙂
Good, you should be in our lesson, it is so much fun! 🙂
I’m sure you’re going to be great with your exam Ute. Loved your post 🙂
*big hugs*
Thanks for your confidence in me.It always takes a lot of nerves 🙂
Love Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly and it was so much fun to listen to Mantovani again. By the time I got to the end of your post I thought my two left feet might be ready to dance too. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
You might be surprised how well 2 left feet can do…..
True 🙂
We are all so envious! You will pass with flying colors.
thanks for your encouragement, I will go for that!
Good luck in learning your third dance and overall with your exam – how exciting!
Thanks very much, I am sure evne the third dance will be fantastic!
Can’t wait to hear what it is! Have a great Saturday. Cath
You too!
Yes…..we need a video Ute! 🙂 Dancing is the best excercise, and it makes you feel good!
Totally agree, I always come home very happy after my lesson!
Wow, that’s great Ute! Good luck for the exam! (Not that I think you would need any…)
I danced standard & latin during my youth (until “gold star”, that’s at least the German name…), did some tap dance, later (which I am missing a lot!!) and explored salsa for a bit. I am still hoping to find a way to continue with one of them and still have my dancing shoes. So I understand your joy and am sharing it whole heartedly!
Much love and “thumbs up” from Hamburg!
Great to know you danced too. You really should pick up one at least, it is so wonderful and well worth it. I did ballroom to Bronze only as teenager. I bet you are really good! Thanks for letting me know, nice to know another dancer!
What a lovely post Ute. I think it’s your best personal one. I am sure you will fly through your exam. Is it multi-choice questions ? 😉 Ralph xox 😀
Thanks Ralph, I would say it is multiple steps really!
Please let us all know how you got on with the exam 😀
Will do, but it will be some months to go yet!
This is excellent. I am so glad that you are doing something that you really love doing. I’m sure you will easily dance your way through the Gold Bar 2 🙂
Too kind, I will do my best. I am striving for the best mark! Lots more practice to do though!
You’ll do it 🙂 I have faith in you Ute
Thanks Al, love you! 🙂
🙂
That’s fantastic, Ute. Granny tap-danced too, but got trouble with her feet in her menopause, so she had to stop 😦 We’re really happy for you and Will cross my paws for ya. Pawkisses 🙂
Very happy you cross your paws…. you are sweet.! Thanks so much, I am sure Granny does miss it a bit!
I love the Charleston as well Ute. Much more than the Tango for sure and Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly are my dance heroes as well. Have fun hon and enjoy. 😀 *big hugs*
Oh great, they are just fantastic to watch dancing, aren’t they? Charleston is my favourite, so nice to know you love it too! Thanks for telling me, makes me happy! 🙂
Awesome for you Ute! There is nothing quite so liberating as dancing 🙂
So true Fred!
OMG at first I read tap dancing as lap dancing!
Oh deary me, I didn’t make a spelling mistake did I ? Oh dear, no it is all wonderful Tap! 🙂
Oh exciting!
I need to find a place nearby where I can learn these dances.
Keep on dancing Ute! 🙂
Oh I will RoSy, I love it so much! 🙂
What a cheerful blog to start off my day – I love the music and dance from the 30’s and 40’s … I would love to learn to dance – it looks like so much fun!
Oh it is Patty, fun and relaxing and a workout too. All together good for body and soul! Thanks Patty!
Some may whistle while they work, I am usually dancing my way through cleaning! 😉
That’s the way to go!
Fabulous! Love the pure joy in this, Ute 🙂 I love to dance but never really acquired the skills. “Strictly Come Dancing” takes over my world at weekends.
Oh I watch that too, I love it! .. and it gives me more confidence…..
Awesome! I have started my lessons again but will have to stop because of my hips, so I will live my tap dancing dreams through you! You go girl! Blessings! 🙂
Shame, but it is hard on legs, knees and hips. I will think of you next time and tap my heart out! 🙂
Cool! Use me as an inspiration!! Looking forward to see the video of the next performance! 🙂
🙂
Good for you! How long have you been tap dancing?
Paulette Motzko
About for 7 years. It was always my childhood dream. And as you see I love it so much. Thank you for visiting and commenting.
