Yesterday I went to a sports shop with my son to get him some sports trousers. As he always has everything in his pockets he loves zips on them.
Could we find any trousers with zipped pockets? No!
We were told that because of health and safety the manufacturer does not do zips anymore on pockets as they can injure.
Over the top I think.
But I reacted straight away to make sure my son is protected……
I bubble wrapped him, nothing can happen any more. He is safe from the dangers of this world!
So I feel safe, he is safe and he seems to enjoy it too!
Have some fun!
Have a laugh!
I can see so much love and compassion in this world.
I am overwhelmed with it!
I need to share such wonders with you!
As you know my dad passed away in February and my mum is alone since then. She is in a Christian home and well looked after. She is making new friends now. In my school where I work I am well respected and loved. As it is my mum’s birthday soon, and my colleagues know it, one teacher asked the children to make some birthday cards to brighten my mum’s day!
What a wonderful thing to do! ( He had before done it before with Christmas cards made by the children to give to my dad when he was in hospital and not well).
Here are some examples.
The children put so much effort and love into it, it is so encouraging to see that 10 year olds learn about compassison and love.
and some hand made flowers!
Aren’t they wonderful? I will post this soon to arrive on time for my mum’s birthday , I am sure they will brighten up her day!
I am still speechless about this act of kindness!
Thank you all for being here, you wonderful people!
Much love from Ute

Have a great day!
I was back home in Germany for a weekend and enjoyed a peaceful quiet time with my mum.
I wanted to share her beautiful garden, now in spring!
Going home does feel like going back in time.
There are some old picture in the house from my grandad.
This is him on the right with his brother before the first world war.
Below is a painted picture, painted by a war time painter friend of him – as I remember him.
Always a bow tie and his wooden stick.
He lost his leg in the first world war on his 21st birthday. I have read his war diary, an amazing read.
I used to sit on his wooden leg and it was very slippy, I enjoyed that very much, so did he.
I called him “Opa”. He died when I was 9.
I don’t remember that much but I have these lovely memories of him playing with me on his lap and underneath his office desk.
I love that picture in our frontroom, I loved him.
It is wonderful to think of happy times from the past,
the people we loved,
and that we made them happy then.
Nothing changed, he is still loved and I still hope to make people happy!
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!
Let the warmth come,
shine, shine, shine,
as we shine from our hearts.
Push away the clouds,
and show your beautiful face.
Wishing you a day full of sunshine,
and if the sun does not shine
bring your own!
Thank you for bringing sunshine into my life.
Recently I joined a gym and I am exercising a bit more than before to keep fit.
I got my self a heart rate monitor to see my pulse easier while training. I was totally amazed what my heart does, in harmony with what my body does. As soon as I relax it relaxes and the heart rate goes down. Carrying heavy shopping it adjusts to more pumping due to me needing more oxygen. My son explained it to me scientifically, I shall not go into that.
I do need to say that I have such admiration and respect for my heart and I will always treat it the best way I can. Our body is such a mysterious and complicated mechanism, it is awesome how God has constructed it.
an amazing part of your body
it keeps you alive,
it speaks to you,
it overrules the brain sometimes,
it shows love!
This is a stone my son found on a Scottish beach and he gave it to me! A treasure!
Treat your body with respect!
Have a fabulous day!
My treasure is not hidden,
no it is all open right here:
Yes it is YOU my blogger friends
you are my wonderful treasure.
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart
for visiting me
for reading my posts,
for leaving comments.
Your comments touch my heart and I treasure each one of you. I value your honest words. Some make me smile, some make me laugh, some make me cry because they are so beautiful. You make my blog what it is and a Thank You is not enough to express my gratitude. You really don’t know how much you mean to me! I love to connect with you who show me their warmth , love and compassion.
I wished I could all give you something special, in the cyberworld,
I will give you a huge cyberhug and my honest love.

An Ordinary Day
A day of travel,
with many impressions.
greeting the pilot,
up in the air.
The beauty of nature presents itself
flying through the clouds,
the fluffy cloud carpet,
ready to jump in,
sunrays going through cloud holes
a spectacular sight.
Watching the sun go down,
a big yellow orange ball,
an amazing display.
An ordinary day
has become an amazing day!
Little things can make a big difference to your day!
enjoy them and
Have an amazing day!
