Spring is declared open!

London, 13 April 2013

I hereby declare Spring in London officially open!

I met a blogging friend yesterday and we wanted to go for a walk in the city of London. It was raining heavy and we had to dry off in a pub first. Then we tried our luck again and it was for a while not raining.

The first wonderful thing we saw was a rainbow, a beautiful rainbow. (Sorry my picture did not come out well)

Then we walked along some modern high concrete/ glass office blocks followed by old Victorian and Georgian houses and back to the busy main road.

In the midst of all the houses we spotted some beautiful fowers and new life coming out of what was just branches yesterday.

If you open your eyes even in a concrete jungle are spots with beauty to be seen.

My gallery shows some of the beauties captured on my phone camera.

Like a smile, flowers never fail to brighten our day. Even in rain!

Hope I can brighten your day,

wishing you a wonderful Sunday!

  2. So nice that you got to meet up with a blogging friend. I bet those blooms & the rainbow knew you were out & about & that’s why they showed up πŸ™‚ Who could resist your smiles?
    Think spring!

    • Yes RoSy it must be like that, I like that. πŸ™‚ Thank you there will be more and more flowers and buds to come….. in this rain and warmer weather… πŸ™‚ and of course our smiles. Keep smiling RoSy πŸ™‚

  3. I am doubting if this is April or Spring as today it is chilly with freezing sleet and snow showers……..Come on Spring show yourself and stay next nice day

  4. Yet another way of saying that our destination is the journey and not the endpoint. As we go through life, how could we adopt this mindset? By being mindful of the present. And as we train ourselves to do that. we see possibilities opening up.

    Great post!

  5. BEautiful flowers, Ute. You always brighten my day. You are a flower in the middle of the rain shining brightly when the sun comes out and makes the raindrops on your petals glimmer with hope. πŸ™‚

  6. Sweet songs of spring shall sing in our gardens soon, the spring shall stay and let the summer wait. The summer must not sing but spring shall spread its bloom … the beauty of nature.

    Thank you Ute πŸ™‚
