I’ve done it – Maccaroni cheese – not burnt

Standard

Well I have done it……..YES, I did it!

maccaroni cheese done

I have cooked Maccaroni cheese and I did not burn it….

Now here is how to do it in 3 easy steps:

  1. Get a pack of maccaroni and cook them for 10-12 minutes as it says on the packet. Set the timer on the cooker. Answer 1 email and check out only 1 post on wordpress.  Do not Google anything!!!
  2. Mix the sauce with milk and cheese according to the recipe, stir continuously. Do not attempt to look at the computer. You can think , only think about your next post.
  3. When the sauce is finished put the maccaroni and the sauce all into a ovenproof dish a, sprinkle more cheese into and on top of it. Leave it in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese on the top is golden brown. Again set the timer on the oven, to give you time for 2 more posts to read. Again Do not Google anything and only read short posts. As soon as the timer bleeps, run out into the kitchen and take the finished meal out. It will be golden and very delicious.

In such easy steps you can get this

Positive Views

Standard

The way we look at things is so important.

Positive is the way and an attitude.

Nobody likes chores and lots of tasks.

Look at this “positive” pad……not a “to do” list, no it implies you have done already half! I find this very inspiring and makes you want to do the rest of your tasks quicker than on a to do pad.

almost done list

and do not forget the cup and biscuits at the end…. you deserve it!

Some wise quotes…… 🙂

  • My favorite way of getting out of doing chores is by acting like I’m asleep. But it never works. —Devon Werkheiser
  • Tomorrow…..(noun) a mystical land where 99% of all human productivity, motivation and activity is stored.
  • “Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.” – Mark Twain
  • “My advice is to never do tomorrow what you can do today. Procrastination is the thief of time.” – Charles Dickens
  • “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.” – Abraham Lincoln.

So will you do your chores today or put them off till tomorrow?

Remember if you enjoy what you are doing they are not chores, so enjoy them with a smile!

As with any award, there are rules. The “rules” for this award state that

I cannot award someone who has already been awarded. Some bloggers receive awards and do not display the badges plus it would take an immense amount of time to go to all my followers blogs to see who and who has not received the award. As for me, I  was a recipient in 2012 but this is my first in 2013. I suppose it is okay to accept since it is a new year.

To my recipients, here are all the rules for this award:

  1. Award your top 6 bloggers who have commented the most.
  2. Be thankful.
  3. You cannot award someone who has already been awarded. And you cannot give the award back to me.
  4. Don’t forget to tell the bloggers you’ve awarded.
  5. If you don’t want to pass on this award, that’s okay to. Just admire it.

I would like to put this award forward to

If you do not do awards or have it already please see it as my appreciation of your blog.

A big Thank you to all of you for including me.

Quotes for the Day:

True friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. False friends are like leaves, found everywhere.

Sparkle

Standard

As I can see there is a lot of snow all over the world, so I thought I put some of my snow pictures up for you too!

These are from Germany (South)

Even though it is dangerous to drive when it is icy, the beauty of the snow on the trees and the sparkle in the sunshine is remarkable.

Be like the snow in the sun….. never let anyone dull your sparkle!

There is a time

Standard

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3,1-8

It is sad but also in a way joyful that the Lord has taken my dad home! He is with HIM and can be whole again. I am grateful for God’s timing as my dad wanted to go.

It has been a hard time and I can say that it did/does make me stronger. You can love someone but you also need to let go.

Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there’s a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.  – Helen Keller …..so it will be for my dad.

Our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them. – George Elliot
