The new album is here
Two Steps from Heaven.
The new orchestral album with music written by Thomas Bergersen, performed by a 120 piece orchestra and choir, conducted by Petr Pololanik, out now but unfortunately not for the public, it’s for motion picture advertising clients only. Thomas Bergersen’s pet-project was released under Two Steps from Hell and is mostly a Family Adventure & comedy style album with a few epic drama style tracks. It contains 19 main tracks including “Heart” & “Benedictus” which Thomas Bergersen posted to the public last year.
Trailer Music Fans seem to be divided in opinions about this album as not all tracks are as “epic” as some fans wanted it to be. This album though is a wonderful mix of epic tracks, real motion picture tracks, emotional tracks and big orchestral beauties.
Now it is possible to listen to the tracks on Extrememusic.com

Some tracks are purely written for action film trailers, it seems, like ‘Reach for the Skies’, ’ Motherland’, ‘Welcome to Fantasia’, ‘Beyond the Horizon’, ‘She’s a Superhero’, ‘Spirit of Moravia’ and ‘An awfully big Adventure’ as you can just imagine lots of film action with this music. ‘Neptune’s Secret’ would fit perfectly to a comedy. (It does remind me of Professor Pumplestickle from the album ‘The devil wears Nada’.) Other tracks do touch the heart and are quieter, melodic, harmonious, emotional like ‘Men of Honour’, ‘Men of Honour part II’, ‘Forever More’. Then we have the pure epic track like “Strength of and Empire” with great build ups and fantastic full choir.
‘Heart’ was originally written by Thomas Bergersen to help Japan’s victims of the big earthquake, it is a beautiful, emotional piece. So are ‘Benedictus’,’ Into the Moonlight’ and ‘Gloria’, soft music, heavenly voices and lovely strings.
‘Cassandra’ seems to be in a league of its own for me, it is my favourite, it is epic, yet calm, beautiful, fantastic build up to the piece with the vocals .
Summary:
A melodic album with very different tracks, all have their own beautiful melody, with great orchestration, good drums, strings, pianos, beautiful voices and choirs. Again you can hear that they were composed by the very talented Thomas Bergersen. A feast for your ears! I love this album!
The new public releases “Halloween” ( it is a public release featuring music from various albums such as “Ashes”, “Shadows and Nightmares” and others. “Halloween” will also feature fantastic new spooky music and promises to be the ultimate Halloween party soundtrack.) It will be out on 25th September followed by Skyworld (Two Steps from Hell “Skyworld “ will be our third major public release featuring groundbreaking epic music with a modern twist. “Skyworld” will be comprised over mostly new never before heard material. This album forges new ground and we believe it will be appreciated by two steps fans in October.)
……can’t wait!
