A very big thank you to Terry to nominate me for the

Super Sweet Award.

supersweet award

I got to know Terry a bit more recently and I am very much honoured and moved that she put me in the nominations.

I am very grateful and I love cakes and chocolate.

I have received this award in November before from Michelle, and I will add the second nomination happily.

This is such a wonderful award and makes me feel really sweet so I want to pass it on to more sweet bloggers.

  2. Look at you racking up the awards and the responses. Tell Santa Ralph that I want an English dictionary for Christmas. He uses weird words for things like picnic baskets and garbage cans, sweaters. I have another funny story for you. Want to hear it? OK When I came to England, I visited classrooms. I was in a second grade classroom, and the teacher was busy, so of course, I walked around to see what the kids were doing. One little boy thought I was an adult, I must know how to spell. “How to you spell the word, clie?” he asked me. I thought, I don’t know what clie is, maybe it’s a name, Cly. “I’m not sure, “I answered. “What do you mean, Cly?” For some reason he not only couldn’t spell, but he wasn’t sure what he meant either. “You know CLY,” he answered. “OK,” I ventured a guess. “C-L-Y.” Finally the teacher, obviously distracted by American visitors in her classroom, and somewhat irritated pointed to the board, “It’s right there on the board. C-L-A-Y, cly!!!” Needless to say I was ready to go to the next classroom about then. That brought me even more grief when a student asked me, “How much to trainers cost in the States?” Oh my gosh, I thought to myself. What kind of trainers does he mean? There are trainers for everything from teaching to football, music to dance. So I asked him. “What kind of trainers?” Again HE thought I should know this elementary stuff. YOU KNOW, TRAINERS! LIKE NIKE.” Again, I couldn’t escape fast enough! I was glad we only had four days of visiting schools! Too many questions – no English dictionary!
Merry Christmas, Ute – I trust that means Merry Christmas! Lots of Love,
    Marsha Lee 🙂

      • Frohe Weihnachten to you Ute. I didn’t know you were German. I am following An Elephant, mostly because Meme raves about him. Meme is how I found Ralph, too, and through Ralph, you. Mr. Elephant has a cute sense of humor. I’ll have to go read that post. Every time I go I feel obligated to leave him a poem, so it always takes me a while. I am finding that I can only do 5-6 visits an hour, even when I don’t leave many messages. It just takes a while to get to know people. 🙂 Marsha 🙂
